What is now referred to as la Butte Montmartre was once a small village. If you plan to spend more than a few days in Paris, do take the city’s metro up to the Butte and wander around exploring the tiny warren of streets around the Basilica.

The Sacré Coeur Basilica crowns the top of the Butte Montmartre. Lively and very colourful, it is one of the city’s favourite rendez-vous’s for arists, bohemians, lovers, & tourists. The constuction of the Basilica was very colourful and reads like a novel!
